Context :

Overall, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting the lubricants pricing management process across all Vivo Energy Operating Units in Africa by implementing pricing process and pricing tools that ensure market appropriate lubricants product pricing in line with the Vivo Energy growth strategy. This is a highly analytical role that requires working with pricing data from multiple sources to guide Operating Units to consistently develop and implement pricing actions based on competitor, market, and customer information/data. The role supports the Africa Lubricants Pricing Manager to drive lubricants business value growth across Vivo Energy Operating Units.

 

 

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and oversee the deployment and consistent implementation of pricing excellence in Vivo Energy Operating Units in line with the Lubricants Pricing Management and Excellence Frameworks ;
  • Be the custodian of Vivo Energy’s lubricants pricing tools including Price structure calculator, value chain & brand map tools, pricing performance, COGS & margin projection tools, and the lubricants pricing tool ;
  • Ensure consistent use of the pricing tools across all Operating Units and continually develop/improve, adapt and localise them to respond to changing market needs or trends and as per business requirements ;
  • Support Operating Units to effectively implement lubricants pricing processes including, pricing strategy & price list development, and value growth initiative implementation using relevant pricing tools such as Brand maps, Value chain Analysis and the Lubricants Pricing Tool ;
  • Support the commercial lubricants team across all Operating Units to achieve bid/tender competitiveness and maximize VE value by driving product cost negotiation with SVL and other lubricant product suppliers ;
  • Develop and implement processes for assessing and measuring the effect of Operating Uit pricing strategies and initiatives on revenue, margins and volume ;
  • Conduct lubricants pricing performance analysis to identify opportunities across markets and/or prepare performance reports for presentation to other central team members and/or the Vivo Energy Lubricants Business Leadership team ;
  • Support and contribute to the deployment of other lubricants marketing & PLM projects within the Operating Units as may be required from time to time ;
  • Support the Pricing Manager in communication of the VE lubricants pricing priorities and development of pricing capabilities in the Operating Units through training/coaching of pricing focal points, as well as the wider sales & marketing community.

 

Requirements :

  • Strong knowledge of pricing management and working with multiple SKUs (over 800) ;
  • Strong commercial understanding of business drivers that affect pricing strategies ;
  • Solid understanding of financials and strong with numbers ;
  • Experience working across different markets/countries ;
  • Expert level at Microsoft Excel and at manipulating big data ;
  • Experience in the use of ERP ;
  • Good eye for detail ;
  • Fluency in French can be an added advantage.
