How can you make a difference?

  • Regularly monitoring budgets and financial expenditures of section by employing applicable tools, ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations, keeping Chief of section and advised on actions for decision and/or follow up ;
  • Providing lead administrative support on the development and management of individual and institutional contracts for the WASH section ;
  • Carrying out transactions in VISION ensuring programme results, activities and programme coding are as per annual work plans (AWPs) and making amendments and alterations as per section revisions when necessary ;
  • Carrying out transactions in VISION pertaining to grants and programme-related items for his/her sections including but not limited to registering grant allotments and tracking expiring programme grants ;
  • Preparing periodic and ad-hoc financial reports relating to country office and donors to support the office in optimizing use of programme funds ;
  • Manage key section processes including attendance and leave planning and tracking, workplan development and reporting, events tracking, communication tree and trip authorizations and reporting among others ;
  • Support further development of WASH enterprise content management (ECM) and collaboration SharePoint, including with organization, adding contact and facilitating online interaction ;
  • Organize all logistical and financial arrangements for internal and external meetings for the sections ;
  • Preparing and updating WASH funding table after analysis of integrated outputs to ensure WASh section Chief and staff are aware on the grant management issues ;
  • Prepare inventory of knowledge management products and make them available when needed for advocacy.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education : Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization ;
  • Experience : A minimum of six years of administrative or program support work experience is required. Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset ;
  • Language Requirements : Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second UN and/or local working language of the duty station an asset.
