<span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>HIAS seeks experienced Grants and Proposal Writers to assist our team in to leading, preparing, coordinating and directly writing high quality competitive proposals for institutional and private funders for US and international programs. This includes narrative and technical applications, as well as support to full proposal applications and appendices. A successful proposal writer will help ensure that proposals submitted by HIAS are highly competitive, responsive to donor guidelines and priorities, and align with HIAS values.

<span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Deliverables:
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>In collaboration with ID and Programs, act as the lead writer/coordinator/editor for concept notes and proposals and ensure quality and timely submissions.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Read and analyze solicitations, calls for proposals and confirm accurate proposal and budget templates.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Ensure proposal complies with HIAS’ Refugee Rights Framework, HIAS SOP for proposal development and donor requirements.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Draft accurate, responsive, compelling text for proposals, including background/context, executive summary, technical approach overview, activity components, technical annexes, etc. as assigned.
<span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Undergraduate degree in International Relations, Communications, or other relevant social science required, Master’s preferred.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in grant writing and management, proposal development, and partnership development.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Fluency in English, and exceptional English writing skills are mandatory.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Experience with key donors, e.g. USAID, OFDA, UN donors, ECHO, DFID, UNHCR, as well as private funding sources, and familiarity with institutional donor rules and regulations and their compliance.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
- <span “:=”” 14px”=””><span “:=”” arial,=”” helvetica,=”” sans-serif”=””>Cordial, respectful and detail-oriented.
