- This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online on-line and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website, reference number AfDB148-02/19 dated 1 February 2020. The General Procurement Notice for Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development was published on 24 March 2020.
- The Government of Sierra Leon through the Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR) and Ministry of Finance (MoF) has received Financing from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development towards the cost of Freetown WASH & Aquatic Environment Project (WASHAERP). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for design, supply and installation of New Babadori Raw water Storage Reservoirs, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
- The Guma Valley Water Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, supply and installation of New Babadori Raw Water Storage Reservoirs in Freetown, Sierra Leone
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of The Procurement Unit, Freetown Wash and Aquatic Environment Revamping Project, Guma Valley Water Company,

- A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of fifty 50 united states dollars or Le 500,000 (five hundred thousand Leones) from Guma Valley Water Company Finance Office 7th
- The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development standard bidding documents for procurement of Works
- Bids must be delivered in hard copies to the address at section 4 above on or before 14:30 GMT, Freetown Local Time Tuesday 6th July 2021 and must be accompanied by a security of USD 55,000 (Fifty-five thousand USD) or SLL 563,000,000 (Five Hundred Sixty-Three Million Leones) only from a reputable Bank in form of Bank
7b. some of the evaluation criteria includes annual turnover of USD 5,000,000(Five Million United States Dollars), equivalent of Le 51,000,000,000 (Fifty-One Billion Leones) calculated as total certified payments received for work in progress or completed for at least last five years and specific experience in Water storage/reservoirs design and construction experience, Pipework design and construction, Steep mountainous road construction experience, Participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least three (3) contracts within the last five (5) years, each with a value of at least USD 1,960,000 (One Million, Nine Hundred and Sixty Thousand United States Dollars), equivalent of Le 20,000,000,000 (Twenty Billion Leones) or its equivalent in another currency among other criteria.
8.Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on Tuesday 6th July 2021 at 14:40 GMT, Freetown Local time at the office of : Guma Valley Water Company
