Context:
As the Children and Youth in Migration (CYM) Regional Program Coordinator (hereinafter RPC), you are responsible for the development and steering of this program at the regional level (regional, sub-regional, national, and local level). More specifically, you lead a business line and supervise the CYM program at the regional level, ensure its contextualization and coordinate its integration into the matrix organization of the region. You report directly to the Head of CYM Program in HQ and functionally to the MENA Operations Manager.
You are responsible for ensuring the respect for policies, regulations, and processes in force in the Foundation in all the operational activities deployed by the collaborators who are subordinated to you, directly or indirectly.
You lead and coordinate the development and implementation of the strategy of the program in the MENA Portfolio as well as in all areas of intervention within the MENA Portfolio, respecting the principles of strategic alignment with the overall program, geographic context, complementarity, collegiality, transparency and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Steering: You contribute to the global strategy and dynamics of the CYM Program. You ensure the implementation of the regional CYM strategy in the MENA Region. You coordinate or participate in the development of thematic strategies and policies which are linked to the overall CYM Program;
- Operation including quality assurance & control: You supervise the implementation/monitoring-evaluation and capitalization of regional, sub-regional and/or multi-country, and the evaluation/capitalization of national projects. You provide support for the implementation of cross-sectoral projects with an integrated approach (Access to Justice, Health, Child Protection, ICT4D, WELD, …);
- Innovation and Research: In close collaboration with the Head of the CYM Program and the Deputy Program Manager, and in coordination with the ICT4Ds, you support the development and implementation of a research and innovation strategy and provide technical support in designing, implementing, testing and replicating innovative pilot projects, initiatives and solution;
- Partnerships, Representation & Advocacy: Within the scope of your responsibilities, you represent the CYM program within the regional and national Tdh teams, as well as within the framework of partnerships and during contacts/collaboration with various networks or external actors. Upholds the good reputation of Tdh as a leading organization on migration in the region, recognized and sought by all stakeholders for its technical expertise;
- Knowledge management and sharing: You coordinate the production, management and sharing of knowledge related to your field of activity in the MENA region, ensuring accessibility and dissemination of institutional and personal knowledges internally and externally.;
- Finance: You co-lead (with Program and Portfolio managers) the funding strategy in migration, ensures optimal financial coverage and oversee/support the development of funding requests/proposals for all scales of intervention;
- Human Resources: You supervise collaborators under your responsibility, you are responsible for recruitment within the team and for providing support throughout the collaboration;
- Reporting: You are responsible for the annual activity report of the migration program in MENA zone, and write or supervise the production of narrative reports to be submitted to donors financing the projects and actions of the program in the region. You also ensure the timely submission of financial reports to donors and keep abreast of exchanges between donors and project managers of the migration program in MENA.
Profile:
- Education: Graduate university education in a field related to the theme;
- Language: Knowledge of English and Arabic, level C1 prohibitive; a good level of French desired;
- Experiences and aptitudes: Strong experience in the sector of Migration;
- Expertise in program management and steering, including the development, operational implementation, coordination, monitoring / evaluation, and capitalization / documentation;
- Expertise in grant writing, grant management and research of institutional funds, with a very good knowledge of financial partners
- Knowledge of and familiarity with international and national conventions, legislation, policies, and strategies relating to the protection and mobility of children in its region of employment;
- Innovative spirit with an appetite for team and network work;
- Good strategic capabilities and strong leadership.
Salary:
Expatriate contract under Swiss labour code 4’400 CHF (~3’600 €) < > 5’500 CHF (~4’600 €) net salary/month according to experience x 13, Annual Leave: 25 days per year. Contract includes also local accommodation and transportation, health and repatriation insurance, return flight.
