This position will support the implementation of field-based experiments in Bangladesh’s apparel sector. It will entail supporting Professor Laura Boudreau to oversee the projects’ implementation and related data collection. The position type is a Staff Associate at Columbia Business School for the Economics Division. The Staff Associate will be based either in Bangladesh or in New York, USA.
They would focus on field-based research in Bangladesh’s garment sector that has broad relevance for developing economies. The work will include the coordination and management of field-based data collection and data. This position would support the implementation of field-based experiments in Bangladesh’s apparel sector. It provides an opportunity to gain experience in academic economics research and would be ideal preparation for a Ph.D. program in public policy, development studies, economics, other related fields. This is a one-year position.
Programming experience in STATA is required. Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communications skills needed – a writing sample is required.
