In collaboration with the Project Managers and the rest of the team, he/she defines, implements and monitors nutrition activities according to INTERSOS project plans and mission strategy, standards and protocols. Participates in exploratory missions, situation assessments (providing technical inputs and recommendations for new and ongoing interventions in the country and defining operational priorities), and development of policy, annual plan, budget review and project proposals, and reports to donors;
In coordination with the Project Managers, establish and maintain regular and collaborative relationships with donors, local authorities, partners, nutrition actors, stakeholders and other organizations working in the target areas;
Proactively participate in relevant sectoral group meetings and cross-sectoral coordination meetings in the field, contributing to the development of guidelines, standards, tools and strategies;
Responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of nutrition data to the provincial and national coordination, through the proper use of internal databases and monitoring tools to ensure adequate project monitoring;
Under the supervision of the Headquarters Medical Unit, provide technical support to field staff through self-knowledge and policy, ensuring compliance with INTERSOS protocols;
Coordinate, supervise, coach, support and evaluate the performance of nutrition team members to improve the nutrition components of projects and ensure compliance with INTERSOS protocols and standards;
Plan and supervise, in close coordination with the Project Managers, the associated processes (recruitment, training, onboarding, performance evaluation, development and internal/external communication) of the nutrition staff of the projects to ensure both the size and quantity of knowledge required and the improvement of staff capacity;
Oversee effective management of nutrition materials, in collaboration with the logistics department;
In close coordination with Project Managers and clusters, develop and implement functional and effective internal and external guidance and coordination mechanisms in the field.
