The WFP Zimbabwe Country Office launched its 5-year Country Strategic Plan (2017–2021) on 3 April 2017. WFP Zimbabwe’s actions focus on activities aimed at addressing transitory and chronic food insecurity and strengthening partnerships for sustainable development. The WFP Zimbabwe Country Strategic Plan (CSP) 2017-2021 supports the government to achieve zero hunger. It focuses on Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2) through activities aimed at addressing transitory and chronic food insecurity and SDG 17 by strengthening partnerships for sustainable development.
Under the supervision of the head of M&E unit, the Job holder at NOA level is expected to support the development and implementation of Monitoring, Review and Evaluation Plans aligned to WFP corporate standards to generate quality evidence on the lives of beneficiaries and inform decision-making on strategy, programme design and implementation. This includes implementation of baseline surveys, coordinating monitoring activities, supporting reviews and evaluations, and ensuring programmes are accountable to affected people and integrate protection and gender perspectives in all areas of work.
To provide support to policy and programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs.
Key accountabilities (not all-inclusive) :
Education : Advanced University degree in social sciences, statistics, development economics, performance management, monitoring and evaluation or other related fields, or First University degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training/courses.
Language : Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language, if different.
Experience : Minimum of six years of relevant professional work experience including monitoring and evaluation activities.
Experience using a variety of quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and method
