Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Field Assistant will report to the Project Research Physician, and will perform following duties and responsibilities:

  • Receive project assignments from PI; understand project scope, questionnaire, methodology, and timelines;
  • Maintain good relationships and coordination with hospital/clinic staff, UNICEF officials, patient caregivers/family, and other stakeholders;
  • Collect patient data from hospital records;
  • Manage database in consultation with supervisor;
  • Maintain data quality assurance and receive timely feedback from supervisor/data management team;
  • Keep track of data collection at the field level;
  • Assist in documenting implementation activities of the DCA;
  • Ensure safe, adequate storage and transportation of completed questionnaire and other study documents;
  • Visit participants’ households if required.
Required qualification and experience:
  • HSC;
  • Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in health research;
  • Experience in working with hospital/clinic staff (government or NGO);
  • Experience in hardcopy-based data collection;
  • Experience in traveling/moving to the study hospitals/clinics on a regular basis;
  • Adequate knowledge of field research work and quantitative data collection;
  • Proficiency in standard Bengali and local dialect;
  • Good skills in reading English of computer writing and hand writing;
  • Good hand writing skills for both Bengali and English.

Location: NCSD Field sites (Dhaka, Gazipur & Kishoreganj).

Contract Type and duration:

  • CSA basis for 4 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.
