Appel à manifestation d’intérêt : Recrutement d’un Développeur Full Stack basé en Europe(H/F).
1. Objective of the assignment
The Hague Registry continues to grow it is witnessing an increase in the number of applications, renewals, decisions, and changes.
This continuous growth requires an equivalent continuous technical improvement of both the front-office and back-office systems to provide a more reliable and efficient service to our growing customers.
2. Tasks/activities
In the context above, the incumbent will form part of the Hague software development team within the Solutions Design and Delivery Section (SDDS) and provide the required expertise to perform backend and frontend software development. The incumbent will also be responsible for technical testing of the deliverables, and associated software release management related activities.
The incumbent will:
(a) Plan, design, and develop software development related tasks in the context of the Hague IT System, as required;
(b) Gather, interpret and analyze business requirements related to the Hague IT System,
(c) Engage with various technical and business stakeholders, as needed, to ensure that the systems are properly designed, implemented, and can be easily maintained and supported in the future.
(d) When needed, lead the development process in an iterative/agile way, with a working build produced early on and subsequent working builds available in acceptance at the end of each sprint for feedback from the business team.
(e) Efficiently collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
(f) Assist the Hague team to improve its software development practices.
(g) Perform software quality assurance related activities as part of agile project teams (i.e. unit testing, code reviews, collaboration during acceptance testing, etc.),
(h) Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies, anticipate and analyze technological trends and assess their impact on delivering and supporting complex software applications. Put forward recommendations and contribute to the Section’s integration activities and projects.
(i) Ensure alignment with WIPO’s technical standards and procedures.
(j) Deliver complete technical and user documentation
(k) Follow the SDDS and WIPO development practices, including activity tracking with JIRA, CICD pipeline usage and alignment with CMU practices.
(l) Perform other related duties as required
The workload will include the above objectives/tasks and, for each assigned task, specific business details will be provided using the internal JIRA system.
3. Deliverables
• A new version of the Hague export module which is capable of exporting to the WIPO ST96 v7 format
• A new version of the Hague Back Office application which has the WebSockets feature removed and replaced with a standard REST API
• The Hague Document Upload application is migrated/integrated into the eHague application ecosystem and launched in production
• The Hague Backoffice Fee Calculator is architected/implemented to be made available to public users and the current Fee Calculator is decommissioned
• An MVP of eHague for Offices is implemented and deployed in production
• Technical documentation for all the above deliverables
4. Reporting
The incumbent will report using the tools recommended by SDDS (e.g., JIRA) and will be under the supervision of the SDDS corresponding line manager.
5. Profile (e.g. area of specialization/expertise, specific knowledge/skills/experience)
Mandatory
• 5 years or more of software development experience, preferably for Intellectual Property IT systems
• Proven and extensive experience in solution and system architecture.
• Extensive experience with Internet-facing Filing applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience in software development.
• Extensive experience with Java, JSF, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Angular Wildfly, Tomcat, HTML, CSS, JavaStript, Oracle SQL, Git, Jira.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication skills, spoken and written English.
• Experience in Agile practices
6. Duration of contract and payment
The contract duration is for an initial 9 months from April 1st, 2023 to December 31st, 2023, with the possibility to extend up to a maximum of 24 months depending on performance and availability of funds.
