Job Overview/Summary: The IRC is seeking a part-time, temporary Research and M&E Advisor to support RAI’s measurement and Switchboard teams. The position includes contributing to Switchboard’s evidence database, including by developing evidence summaries, and to the development of Switchboard literature reviews and supporting planning for a national research conference. The position will also support IRC’s Strategy 100, by helping lead the measurement work that powers our decisions with data to drive greater impact. The RAI Research and Measurement Advisor is a member of the Research, Analysis and Learning team. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen organizational data excellence by advancing RAI’s measurement workplan:
    • Analyze and communicate core indicator data trends quarterly
    • Support program and HQ staff in reviewing and analyzing core indicator data and developing action plans through quarterly data review meetings
    • Oversee administration of resettlement assessments, ensuring data quality, and analyze and communicating data trends
    • Track and report progress on measurement projects
  • Supervise RAI measurement team in accordance with IRC Leadership Standards  
    • Facilitate weekly half-hour one-on-one check-ins with four direct reports  
    • Provide support to team as needed to ensue workplans are on track  
  • Support Switchboard’s literature review projects: develop review protocols; conduct literature searches; draft articles; lead academic submission process
  • Support updates of Switchboard’s online evidence database: maintain evidence search protocol; conduct systematic searches of research databases for potentially eligible publications; review text of publications to determine eligibility; tag eligible studies for upload to online database
  • Design and develop technical assistance resources to support applied-oriented research in refugee resettlement settings

Job Requirements :

Education: A University degree in a relevant discipline (preferably in Social Sciences, Data Science, or a related field) preferred.

Work Experience:

  • At least five years of research and/or program monitoring and evaluation experience.  Experience with M&E of refugee programs, social services or human services, preferably in the US context, preferred.

Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in other client languages preferred.
