The Resource Management and CD Policy Coordination Division (ICDRM) has a vacancy for a Budget Assistant/Sr. Budget Assistant.
The position will support the budget team in planning, executing and monitoring ICD’s budget, including for the Regional Training Centers (RTCs), as well as its role in developing and monitoring execution of the department’s CD delivery work plan. The position will also be asked to contribute to the division’s development of CD delivery policies, as appropriate. The selected candidate will report to the RM Division Chief/SBM and Deputy Division Chief, with direction from the division budget officers, and in close collaboration with the economists, information and technical assistant officers, and other budget and administrative staff.
The chosen candidate will work closely with ICD divisions and RTCs to manage funding programs in CDMAP, oversee and review TRACES reporting and development of reports for charging external donors, helping RTCs develop their budgets, write STX and other work contracts, and process travel authorizations, incidental expense reports, purchase orders, and invoice payments.
Strong knowledge of the Fund’s budget procedures and budget-related financial systems is important, including IBBIS, CDMAP, TRACES, PeopleSoft systems, and ability to run queries in these systems as well as excellent knowledge of Excel. The ideal candidate would already be conversant in working with CDMAP, including the ability to extract data and produce reports and graphics to facilitate development of ICD’s aggregate envelope, its specific CD delivery workplan, and reporting to ICD management and senior staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a university degree in business, finance, accounting, statistics, computer science, or a related field is required.
- Relevant budgeting and financial reporting experience.
- Excellent analytic and data management skills. A proven track record of recognizing and solving problems using both technology and process solutions.
- Strong work management and interpersonal skills. The ability to triage work and prioritize competing demands is critical, as is effective planning, adaptability, and application of sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment with a broad range of staff.
- Good English language oral and written communication skills.
