Responsibilities & Tasks
Team process, culture and HR
· Establish and oversee a positive team culture;
· Establish and oversee team processes;
· Oversee recruitment working with ECF HR;
· Oversee team HR support in alignment with ECF’s processes and policies;
· Ensure welfare of the team;
· Identify training and other skills building needs for the team.
Co-ordinate Governance and funder relations
· Support the CEO and chair to ensure smooth and effective governance processes including management of steering committee meetings, agendas and curation of content;
· Co-ordinate processes around PIE’s relationships with its existing and prospective funders effectively co-ordinating with senior staff.
Enable network support
· Be responsible for PIE’s role in support of the ALFIE network of funders including co-ordinating with the operations and programme team to provide data, information and communications content;
· Enable good co-ordination with core re-granting partners on common operational agendas.
Enable operational support
· Oversee administrative, events and other forms of operational support for PIE teams.
· Manage PIE’s corporate communications including its website and communications towards funders and other partners;
· With the operations team leadership and aligning with ECF, manage PIE’s IT support needs and infrastructure;
· With the operations team leadership and programme team co-ordinate monitoring, evaluation and learning.
Experience and competencies
· Demonstrated interest in the mission and values of PIE;
· At least eight years of relevant professional experience in team operational management;
· Experience in HR management in particular team culture building, process management, recruitment, legal and procedural issues and other HR experience;
· Direct experience of managing relations with funders;
· Demonstrable knowledge of corporate communications such as websites and direct communications and organising communications;
· Strong experience of working with distributed teams and building positive culture;
· A high standard of evaluating and presenting data;
· An understanding of and interest in the foundation sector and experience in working with international NGOs;
· Experience of successful direct management including of team members with different expertise.
