Job overview:

You will become a part of the HQ team of the Relief and Development Department in Prague. As a Junior Country Programme Coordinator (CPC), you will be the closest partner of the Country Programme in DRC (CP), and together with another CPC and senior management team, you will contribute to its proper management and development.

You will support the project cycle management from fundraising to reporting, help to ensure the quality of the programmes, and support of projects’ & CP administration when needed. This might entail both participation in the needs assessments as well as in proposal writing for major donors such as ED ECHO, USAID/BHA, UN, OCHA, etc. For your colleagues at the CP level, you will become inseparable HQ counterpart for project and program managers and thus also contributing to CP strategic development and future directions.

For this position, we consider important:

  • Experience with project coordination/management and teamwork in the non-profit environment and abroad;
  • At least 2 years of experience with humanitarian and/or development projects;
  • Appropriate education degree in either humanitarian aid or development is welcome;
  • Experience in proposal development, writing and reporting skills (advantage with humanitarian and development donors such as DG ECHO, USAID/BHA, UN agencies etc.);
  • Ability to coordinate with other PIN departments, good communication skills and time management;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with different groups of people and respect their different cultural backgrounds;
  • Excellent knowledge of English, French is an advantage;
  • Ability to organize your work and approach things positively even in situations where job requests are rapidly developing;
  • Experience with financial administration, follow-up spending, analytical thinking, and ability to quickly learn from the organization’s internal processes;
  • Willingness to travel to DRC on short-term assignments;
  • EU citizenship or valid work permit for the Czech Republic.
