Roles and responsibilities :

  • Draw up financial reports and organize financial and accounting procedures, documentation, and verification of supporting documents
  • Liaise with HR and logistic departments, banks, and relevant project staff to ensure all expenditures, payments of payrolls and cash disbursements are in line with organization’s financial procedures
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments of staff and vendors
  • Ensure proper follow-up of budgets and expenditures
  • Ensure that all financial activities and cash flows are in line with international standards, government requirements as well as donor requirements
  • Supervise cash management, budgeting, forecasting, troubleshooting, accounting and financial procedures and donor requirements
  • Ensure controle of receipts, invoices, and financial documents to justify payments
  • Conduct monthly and yearly accountancy closure, advance closing, and bank reconciliation
  • Provide support, information, advice, and guidance to other departments regarding financial policies and procedures
  • Participate in preparation and review of internal and external financial reports for submission
  • Facilitate preparation of internal and external audits
  • Any other work-related duty assigned by the line manager

Qualifications, experience and skills :

  1. Academic background

[Required] MA/ MSc / MBA Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business management, Economics and other closely

  1. Professional/Practical Experience

[Required] Proven experience as an Finance coordinator or relevant finance position (in humanitarian sector with multi-currencies)

[Required] Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Accountant software

[Required] Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office software

  1. Skills and attitudes
  • Strong drive to meet deadlines and ability to work under pressure;
  • Attention to details and strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English;
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to work remotely with an international team across different countries and particularly including cross-cultural dimensions.
