The Role
Oxfam is looking for an HR Administrator to join our Global Humanitarian Team and provide general administrative support including recruitment administration, collation of management information and support on HR Projects.
Please note this is a part-time/job share role, (0.5 full-time equivalent). Working hours may vary depending on Oxfam GB country location.

What we are looking for
Our next HR Administrator will have:
- Awareness of and demonstrated commitment to Oxfam’s values, mission and work and the principles of equal opportunities.
- Awareness of global justice, social change, women’s rights and gender equality and commitment to delivering humanitarian work through feminist principles
- Proven administrative experience and good organisational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure within a very busy environment, using own initiative and proactive approach to prioritise accordingly to meet competing deadlines.
- Ability to work flexibly and a willingness to adapt.
- Ability to deal in a tactful and professional manner with confidential information and sensitive situations.
- Ability to compose correspondence and to create and develop administration processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
- Customer service focused attitude.
- Ability to perform in an accurate, professional and competent manner, meeting deadlines and using initiative to help solve problems relating to own work area and strive to continuously improve the service that we deliver.
- Computer literate with excellent word processing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel) and electronic mail systems (such as Microsoft Outlook).
Location :
This role can be located in the UK or any country where Oxfam Great Britain has a presence (Oxfam GB is Executing Affiliate in 26 countries across Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa) due to the need for access to Oxfam GB Systems. This is subject to Oxfam GB’s ability to employ in that location, the affordability of doing so and right to work requirements being met.
Due to legislation constraints, it is not currently possible for this role to be based in some locations. These include Brazil, France, India, Italy.
In view of the job share & part-time nature of this role and the need for the team collectively to cover HR Administration operational demands over a variety of time zones, it is essential for this position that working hours are broadly aligned with the afternoon in Universal Coordinated Time (UTC).
