A day in the life of a Senior Fundraiser will involve:
  • A varied mix of contacting potential volunteers and supporters, to meeting with regional trusts or companies, to marketing and gaining support for events.
  • Building impactful local relationships with our supporters, empowering them to take humanitarian action in the way that works for them, whether it is supporting their planned fundraising activity, helping create fundraising at work, enabling them to volunteer, or attending an event
  • You’ll spend time promoting and developing mass participant events within communities in your area including local runs and national campaigns, taking the lead on marketing, and recruitment for these events.
  • Everything you do will be focussed on building and nurturing excellent relationships with donors and supporters to increase engagement, income and long-term support that will benefit the people that the British Red Cross supports.
  • Delivering income growth from local corporate partnerships and trusts, as well as from a diverse mass product portfolio – including Walk with Refugees.
  • Working as one team in the best interests of building long-term relationships with volunteers and supporters.
To be a successful Senior Fundraiser, you’ll need:
  • You have previous experience of fundraising for a charity as a Community/Regional fundraiser or a Corporate/Trust fundraiser, or with working on mass participation events.
  • You have previous experience of fundraising for a charity as a Community/Regional fundraiser or a Corporate/Trust fundraiser, or with working on mass participation events.
  • You have experience of motivating others.
  • You have experience of working to and reporting on targets and objectives.
  • You are a confident, persuasive communicator, experiences in dealing with groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • You have good time management skills.
  • A full UK driving license, as this role covers various counties.
