Appel à manifestation d’intérêt : La Croix-Rouge Britannique recrute un.e Conseiller.e en matière de lutte contre la traite des êtres humains basé au Royaume-Uni.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual with expertise in supporting trafficked people to join our team in the role of Anti-Trafficking Advisor (International).
The role holder will be responsible for providing expert technical, operational and capacity building-support to the British Red Cross’ International Directorate and the wider Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.
A day in the life of a Anti Trafficking Advisor will involve:
Reporting to the Head of Anti-Trafficking, you will work with other International Directorate Advisors, Heads of Regions, International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Federation, to provide technical advice and guidance, allowing colleagues to respond to human trafficking.
Working on initiatives for a variety of international locations, you will monitor trends in trafficking activity, develop a clear understanding of the agencies working locally and work with National Societies to develop their response.
You will produce guidance and documentation, design and adapt training materials and deliver training to regional teams. In some cases, you will work directly with at-risk communities to develop materials which highlight potential trafficking risks and which signpost these communities to appropriate sources of advice and support.
You will line manage a small team who support with these activities. This role would suit someone with people management skills, but who also enjoys being hands-on with core activities.
An important aspect of this role is engagement; you will develop links with key stakeholders, both internal to the Movement and external, attend International Directorate meetings and work on fundraising opportunities.
To be a successful Anti Trafficking Advisor, you’ll need:
- previous experience of working in anti-trafficking roles, ideally gained in various international contexts in the anti-trafficking sector globally;
- comprehensive knowledge of the international policy context and legislative frameworks that shape the experience of trafficked people and migrants (an existing understanding of the role of the Red Cross Red Crescent movement would be beneficial);
- You understand the needs of beneficiaries; you have experience of developing policies and systems which identify these specifically, and of developing beneficiary-focused services;
- experience of working effectively with international partner organisations;
- well-developed project management skills and associated experience; you’re comfortable dealing with the full project management lifecycle;
- experience of adapting and designing training materials;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you’re able to build and maintain effective relations and partnerships;
- You’re organised; capable of managing a complex workload whilst taking account of competing priorities;
- You’re comfortable using a range of IT packages including Microsoft office.
