The PMO Analyst is a vital part of the Tech Enabled Change team, working across multiple organization-wide workstreams. They’ll ensure projects and programs meet key milestones and deliverables, supporting ongoing management and tracking using the Atlassian project management system. Their role includes presenting project outputs to the I&DT Portfolio Board and actively engaging internal and external stakeholders to ensure accountability, support project managers, and provide timely updates.

A day in the life of a PMO Analyst will involve:

  • Creating, updating, and managing planning and project documents, ensuring clear timelines and deadlines.
  • Continuously improving data collection and analysis, sharing findings to enhance project team experience and provide valuable insights to the leadership team.
  • Identifying and addressing risks and issues, assisting in developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Regularly reporting project status to the Programme Manager and Senior Programme Director, taking necessary actions based on their feedback.
  • Managing the I&DT Stage Gate process, training project managers and teams to effectively use available resources.
  • Communicating project and portfolio information through existing channels, expanding their reach to engage a wider audience.
  • Developing creative resources to support program delivery and enhance project management skills..
  • Gathering input and feedback from stakeholders, improving PMO processes and sharing best practices across the directorate. Perform administrative tasks and support project managers in documenting project changes and updates.
To be a successful PMO Analyst, you’ll need:
  • A solid understanding of project management principles, tools, and theories.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, leveraging them effectively for project tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing and delivering reports and messages.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret diverse data sources and extract valuable insights.
  • To be comfortable interacting and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating tasks and performing administrative duties efficiently.
