JOB DESCRIPTION
DUTIES:
Under the overall supervision of Field Coordinator Mangroves Project Balochistan, the incumbent will be responsible for:
 Review secondary data pertaining to the Balochistan mangroves project to increase learning
about the project prior to any contribution.
 Using existing knowledge, contribute to the betterment of the mangroves management plan –
in terms of comparison with what they have studied in their existing programme and how they
could propose recommendations for mangroves management,
 Provide inputs to ongoing activities in mangroves management. Create their own Road Map for
a management Plan.
 Undertake field visit with IUCN team to assess ongoing plantation work and provide inputs to
the Road Map as mentioned above.
 Undertake learning from community interactions in the field and weave them into the
Management Plan as part of their Road Map
 Desk review data provided by IUCN for reading.
REQUIREMENTS
• • Applicants must have student status (undergraduate or graduate) and be enrolled at Marine & Environment Departments of Lasbela University for the entire duration of the internship.

• Completed at least 02 years of Study towards a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on Marine & Environment.

• Affinity with the vision and mission of IUCN and a strong interest in and good understanding of international marine & environmental policy issues.

• Complete fluency in the English language, including excellent demonstrated English writing skills; good level of written and spoken.

• Sound understanding of information technology, with experience in applying Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as a minimum skill set

• Proven analytical, conceptual, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

• Detail- and outcome-oriented

• Ability to work independently and on multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of outputs

• Highly motivated to learn and develop new skills, keen to bring in own ideas

• A team player with a strong interest to work in an international environment
