TERMS OF REFERENCE

Under the regular supervision of the Senior Evaluation Planning and Reporting Officer, the consultant will :

  • Work closely with the IT team and business analysts to prepare data.
  • Establish an infrastructure connecting various Power BI compatible data sources.
  • Create interactive dashboards.

CONCRETE DELIVERABLES

•    Clean and standardized data.
•    Secure data model connecting various data sources (internal systems and web-based).
•    Interactive dashboards including a glossary and FAQs.
•    User guide for technical users on data transformation, editing and troubleshooting.
•    User guide for project managers on the best practices for recording raw data / reporting progress in established systems/ lists and accessing the dashboards.

COMPETENCIES

Technical competencies:

  • Microsoft Power BI, advanced Microsoft Excel, SharePoint.
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from relational databases.
  • Knowledge of data sources commonly used in Power BI, such as SharePoint Lists, SQL Server, Excel, and other databases.

Programming Languages:

  • JavaScript/Node.js: asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, server-side development
  • C#: object-oriented programming, the .NET framework, data access using ADO.NET & Entity Framework, and web development with frameworks like ASP.NET MVC.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: Technical studies in the field of the consultancy contract. A University degree or an advanced degree would be an advantage. Professional IT certifications including Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst.

Experience: At least one year of experience using data analytics tool including refining datasets using latest ETL tools and  creating BI data models for automated dashboard and reports. Experience in SharePoint is desirable.

Languages: Knowledge of English at advanced level.
