HIAS seeks a Development Reporting & Metrics Specialist to provide support to the Development Operations team. Reporting to the Development Systems Manager, this role focuses on tracking and reporting data on all private giving, pulling regular quarterly reports for the Strategy & Measurement team and responding to data requests from colleagues in Major Gifts, Jewish Communal Philanthropy, Community Engagement, Institutional Development, Executive Office, lay leadership and the HIAS Foundation. The Development Reporting & Metrics Specialist assists in maintaining data hygiene and ensures that reports are accurate and complete. This role will help drive key initiatives and strategic long-term goals through ad-hoc and scheduled tracking and reporting, and will work closely with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Pulls quarterly reports for the HIAS dashboard; liaises with Strategy & Management team overseeing agency-wide data.
- Creates and pulls scheduled and on demand reports for Major Gifts, Jewish Communal Philanthropy, Community Engagement, Institutional Development, Executive Office, Board and other lay leadership, and the HIAS Foundation.
- Helps maintain donor data in Raiser’s Edge/NXT and assists with data hygiene; helps to implement processes and procedures for reporting requests and needs.
- Provides support to the Development Operations team in tracking donors for all areas of fundraising.
- Liaises with database and other vendors as needed for special reporting situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in a nonprofit fundraising/development environment.
- Experience with fundraising data management systems required, particularly Raiser’s Edge/NXT; advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Experience with Target Analytics and ResearchPoint a plus.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, with excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Travel, to include travel to insecure operating environments, may be required.
