Founded in 1973, Trócaire is an Irish International NGO and a member of Caritas Internationalis. Requirements
As the Country Director for Trócaire DRC, we seek a dynamic, experienced leader with a proven strategic leadership and management track record. You will have demonstrated experience managing humanitarian/development programmes in a partnership model, ideally with experience running a country office.
As a leader, you will be pivotal in cultivating a cohesive, empowered, and high-performing team. Your experience managing multicultural teams in a conflict affected environment and fostering inclusivity will be essential. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to facilitate collaboration are critical for building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to think strategically, analytically, and innovatively and attract institutional donor funding will be instrumental in your success.
Your experience in risk management, compliance, and governance particularly in volatile and fluidly changing environments is crucial to ensure effective resource allocation and adherence to organisational policies. We value a growth mindset and commitment to continual improvement that strives for excellence. You are adept at practising active listening and soliciting, considering, and valuing diverse perspectives and contrary opinions.

Trócaire offers a competitive package of salary and benefits including housing, school fees, medical insurance, a pension scheme, life assurance, Rest & Recuparation and generous annual leave. The job opportunity will be offered on a fixed term basis for 2 years and is based in Bunia, Eastern DRC. The post is unaccompanied.
