About Data Integration Department
To expand on the  delivery of its 7th Strategic Plan, particularly on data governance and responding to Members needs, DID was established to bring together the organisation’s Observatory, and economics and epidemiological analysis initiatives to support decision making. These include Global Burden of Animal Diseases programme (GBADs), the Observatory, the epidemiological team and the survey support service. Both economic and epidemiology analysis initiatives will support WOAH members to improve animal health investment decisions

Analysis to support decision making:
GBADs is an international collaboration jointly led by WOAH and the University of Liverpool, and implemented by a consortium, looking at the economics burden of animal diseases and health issues. The burden of animal health is assessed in terms of net loss of production, expenditure, and impacts on the economy and trade within the context of the food system.
