ABOUT THE JOB
The position is responsible for ensuring that all logistical matters are dealt with in accordance with organizational standards and policies, this includes weekly and monthly activities reports to the immediate supervisor. The supply chain Officer is in charge of Three main areas (asset management, procurement, and fleet management) controlling and managing, and delivering all required actions and qualifications. He/she also supports the logistics unit in daily operation activities.)
Responsibilities:
- In accordance with procedures, responsible for ensuring appropriate authorizations and documentation for procurement activities in the country level.
- Implement DRC procurement policies and procedures, adhere to them and ensure proper use of them and all related standardized forms and formats.
- Closely work with HEA Supply chain officers and support them in daily activities and procuring goods and services.
- Ensure that DRC office(s) receives quality goods and services at the most competitive prices.
- Assist with Supply Chain team leader in drafting new contracts and handling goods reporting when required.
- Make RFQ, and ITB and participate in opening sessions.
- Keep up to date with the procurement tracking sheet, price list, and vendor list of DRCS.
- Ensuring the procurement activity is carried out within policies and producers mentioned in DRC Operation Handbook and DRC Procurement Manual.
- Develop a procurement plan for the new project and an annual procurement plan.
- Find out potential suppliers to deal with them.
- Closely work and coordinate with the finance department for payments of suppliers.
- Ensure to have the appropriate asset management and track and do the inventory quarterly.
- Ensure to handle the fleet management properly and report/take any action for maintenance of the machinery on time.
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Key Deliverables:
- Assist other team members within the work group to achieve maintenance and/or other directive related to the position and to take proper care of work, tools, and equipment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality assurance for all work undertaken and to observe policies procedures and occupational health and safety regulations of the workplace.
- Conduct good coordination and communication with other DRC members and supply on time the requirements of them.
- On-time refueling of the fuel reservoir of offices and guest houses. And on time report the consumption to the supervisor.
- Support sub-offices in daily activities and get proper reports from them.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you must have:
Experience and technical competencies:
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Supply Chain – Procurement.
Education/qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in BA or any field social science or relevant;
- Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Languages:
- Good English writing and oral communication skills.
