  1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in the following Assignment: Portfolio Reporting Services for the Africa Investment Forum.
  1. The services to be provided under the Assignment: is to provide portfolio reporting solution and necessary support to the AIF Transaction Workstream in its deal-tracking responsibilities, maintain a credible portfolio of AIF Pipeline Origination and Boardroom deals through robust monitoring and reporting. The assignment also entails delivering day to day support to issues escalated by the AIF Investment Officers, creating and generating analytical portfolio and deal reports, and assisting with data aggregation and connectivity issues between deal tracker and investor portals, assisting data capture with regards to legacy Back-Office systems.
  2. The Africa Investment Forum invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible Consulting Firms or associations of Consulting Firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable Assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.).
  3. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the Bank’s Procurement Policy and Procedure for Corporate Consultants Recruitment. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include it in the shortlist.

Qualifications and experience

The assignment will be undertaken by a Consulting Firm based on the following criteria:

  1. Have an experienced team with the relevant background in portfolio management.
  2. The team leader should have at least a master’s degree (or its university equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, Development Finance, Business Administration and 15 years relevant professional experience in portfolio management, banking, consultancy; and other key staff at least a master´s degree and 7 years´ relevant work experience – all with specific experience in Africa;
  3. Very Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills;
  4. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High-level proficiency in data management, demonstrated quantitative analysis and analytical skills;
  5. Relevant work experience in multilateral development institution in Africa and/or specialized experience in similar organization/s would be considered an advantage;
  6. Experience in the private sector will be an added advantage, especially demonstrable knowledge of key economic developments and market trends in Africa;
  7. Ability to make clear and concise presentation when required;
  8. Ability to produce innovative, creative, and structured approaches to deal tracker activities to enhance performance and value-add to the AIF and its stakeholders.
  9. Excellent problem-solving skills, application of business knowledge to the resolution of problems and identifies solutions to the benefit of the client (internal and external) and the organization;
  10. Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills;
  11. Proven ability to deliver under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  12. Ability to communicate effectively in French or English, with a good working knowledge of another language;
  13. Competence in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
