The CLEAN-AIR (Africa) Global Health Research Group is a consortium of researchers established in 2018 through funding from the UK National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). The consortium consists of partners from Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Norway, USA and the UK, and is hosted by the University of Liverpool.

Job Title: Research Project Coordinator
Number of slots available: 1
Job Location: Douala III, IV or V
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Start Date: 1st April 2021
   

Major Roles and responsibilities include

  • Community sensitization and mobilization
  • Monitoring project progress on regular basis and reporting the same to management.
  • Identifying delays and deviations and accordingly revising work plan to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide assistance and conduct trainings for research team members when required
  • Real time field work supervision
  • Track and control expenses within allotted budgets.
  • Planning of data collection process
  • Monitoring, supervising evaluating the data collection process and field activities
  • Maintaining documentations for research procedures and findings for management review.
  • Perform basic clerical and administrative support tasks as needed.
  • Liaise between Fieldworkers and principal Investigator
  • Producing weekly and monthly plan of activities
  • Providing progress reports of weekly / monthly field activities
  • Organize and or attend monthly meetings with management team and fieldworkers

Diplomas/ Studies/ Experience

Masters in Public Health or Epidemiology

Community Health work or community research experience Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar position

  • Computer knowledge ( Microsoft Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and SPSS)
  • Ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both French and English
