JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under Encouraging supervision of Sanitation & Hygiene promotion Officer/Assistant the position holder is responsible to perform community-based SHP activities in the camps through various interactive and participatory approaches. Position owner is handling community centered hygiene promotion methodologies with towards achievement of better result and actions. The Environmental Health Agent is the form desk in representing the IRC Environmental Health Activities in refugee community and serve as the liaison IRC and refugee communities.
Crucial Job Functions:
- Encouraged to facilitated home to home visits and focused group discussions.
- Schedule and Organize weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation campaigns.
- Establish and facilitate water containers and water point cleaning campaigns.
- Enable and conduct Community Hygiene Club training sessions for targeted communities.
- Participate and facilitate hygiene promotion capacity developmental activities for refugee communities and school children.
- Coordinate and facilitate National and Global Event and Mass Hygiene campaigns.
- Conduct different Sanitation and Hygiene Inventory and assessments accurately.
- Distribute WASH/NFI Items for client accurately and timely.
- Keep all recordings on distribution, assessment, and supply of SHP items accurately.
- Facilitate review meetings and workshops on WASH related project activities.
- Encouraged to mobilize affected community on WASH construction and service provision tasks.
- Ensure community mobilization and participation towards creation of sustainability and ownership.
- Keep and utilize provided IRC supplies for intended use and purpose.
- Generate and submit weekly and monthly SHP progress reports on timely and accurately.
Profil
- Has Grade 7 complete Certificate and above.
- Have NGO experience in similar positions.
- Highly heartened and interested to support affected communities.
- Have good understanding in identifying and priorities WASH needs of Person Living with Disability, Children, Women’s, Girls and Venerable groups.
- Motivated and encouraged to support Person living with disabilities, children’s, Women’s, Girls, Venerable groups on WASH service provision!
- Highly diligent to support children’s on for adoption of good hygienic practices.
- Have strong belief and dedication towards Children’s rights and Protection from any forms and types of harming.
- Concerned and strong belief on Gender equality
