  1. The African Development Bank is seeking to recruit a Junior Consultant. The Bank hereby invites Individual Junior Consultant to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : Research Assistant to support PGRF.3 to undertake relevant research and compile a database of key economic indicators.

The services to be provided under the should encompass but not limitative to the following :

  • Assist with data preparation for economic capital simulation through CreditManager ;
  • Assist data gathering/inputting for the quarterly capital adequacy and risk management report production ;
  • Assist with data preparation for annual GEMs data submission ;
  • Assist with data gathering/inputting for sovereign rating model parallel run and review of proposed modifications to sovereign rating model ;
  • Assist with data gathering for validation of Annual Rating Exercise results ;
  • Undertake background research and source data to assist with producing Sovereign Quarterly reports ;
  • Undertake background research and source data to assist with producing Risk Profiles (one-pager) for RMCS and EEA non-RMCs ;
  • Continue updating database with more recent data as and when they become available ;
  • Assist with other adhoc tasks as required by the Department.

The entire project will span over approximately 12 months and could be renewed. For the avoidance of doubt, The Consulting firm will respect the national holiday and local holiday practices where the Services are being performed.

Qualifications and Experience Required :

  • At least a Bachelor Degree in Economics, Finance or Statistics  ;
  • At least 2 years’ post-graduation work experience utilizing macroeconomic datasets in analyzing individual and cross-country macroeconomic issues in African countries ;
  • Advanced Data analysis skills ;
  • Capability to conduct analyses identifies issues, propose solutions, and make recommendations to Management ;
  • Advanced in using Microsoft package, particularly in Excel ;
  • Preferably be fluent in both English or French.

Interested eligible Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable Assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.) ;

  1. The estimated duration of services is 12 months and the estimated starting date is April 5, 2021 ;
