  1. This Specific Procurement Notice follows the General Procurement Notice for this project, which appeared in Development Business Issue No. AfDB656-09/15 Published on September 09 -2015 ; 
  1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Fund in various currencies towards the cost of the support to technical and vocational education and training (TVET) for relevant skills development phase II’ project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the procurement of Training Equipment as indicated below : Lot 1 Electrical and Electronics Engineering Training Equipment for Butere Technical Training Institute Lot 2 Electrical and Electronics Engineering Training Equipment for Wajir Technical Training Institute

TENDER NO ICB/MOE-VTT/ TVET PHASE II /1/2020 – 2021.

  1. Bidders must quote for all items in every lot ; 
  1. The Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Education – State Department for Vocational and Technical Training now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning and Training on the use and Maintenance of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Equipment ; 
  1. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of : 

The Project Coordinator,  Ministry of Education- State Department for Vocational and Technical Training Teleposta Towers, Kenyatta Avenue, 24th Floor, Rooms 2409 and 2412  NAIROBI, KENYA. 

  1. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings one Thousand (Kes 1,000) or its equivalent in freely convertible currency, to the Cashier Ministry of Education- State Department for Vocational and Technical Training, Harambee Avenue, Jogoo House B, 9th Floor Room 925 ;
  1. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Goods ; 
  1. Bids must be delivered to the address below or to the Head of Supply Chain Services Office, Harambee Avenue, Jogoo House B, 8th Floor room 810 on or before Thursday, 29th April, 2021, 00 am Local Time ; 
  1. Bids shall be valid for a bid period of 120 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security for each lot of Kenya Shillings One Million (KES 1,000, 000) or its equivalent in any freely convertible currency. The bid security shall be in the form of a bank guarantee and must be from a reputable commercial bank supervised by the Central bank of Kenya ; 
  1. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 00 am on Thursday, 29th April, 2021 Local Time at :
