  1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment : SENIOR SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER ; 
  1. The objective will be to provide consulting services in the area of SharePoint Development, Support and Maintenance of the developed Solutions. 

The consultant duties will include the following : 

  • Develop software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes ;
  • Implement application development requirements, with a constant focus on coordinating business efficiencies through the activities of application development ;
  • Design, develop and maintain key components of the software suite using classic ASP, SAP, Microsoft .Net and SharePoint Online (Office 365) and SharePoint Server 2013 to the latest version ;
  • Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows as well as development of Business Intelligence dashboards ;
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code ;
  • Coordinate and participate in system unit testing, and integration testing with promoting good practice and code standard.

 

  1. Required skills and qualifications : 
  • At least Master/Engineering degree or equivalent in computer science, software development ;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting and maintaining SharePoint in an enterprise environment ;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SharePoint Online ;
  • Solid experience in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications – including hosted solution and client-side web parts ;
  • Must have developed solutions in SharePoint 2013 or 2016 and SharePoint Online ;
  • Be able to create online solutions for collaboration, communication, engagement, and knowledge management ;
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate ;
  • SharePoint Professional Certification is desirable (e.g. MCSD, MCSE and MCP) ;
  • Mastering of .NET technology (C#, VB.Net), SharePoint 2010 /SP 2013, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JQuery & JavaScript ;
  • Experience in using Visual Studio and using Microsoft Team Foundation Services and GIT is also plus ;
  • Experience in SharePoint Designer Workflows ;
  • Experience in ASP.NET / MVC / C# .NET / HTLM / CSS / JavaScript / jQuery / REST / OData / MVC / CDN ;
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills ;
  • SQL knowledge and experience plus ;
  • Experience of working with the AGILE methodology ;
  • Proven Development skills in SAP and SharePoint Integration tools such as Duet Enterprise, BizTalk and OpenText ;
  • Experience with Open Sources Content Management System such as Drupal, Alfresco is a plus ;
  • Proven track record to work to strict business deadlines ;
  • Self-management and strong organization skills.
  1. The Corporate Information Technology Services Department (CHIS) invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (CV, documents, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.) ;
  1. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedures shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedures for the acquisition of consulting services funded by the administrative or capital expenditure. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist ;
  1. The duration of services is six (06) months and the estimated starting date is 15 February 2021 ;

  1. ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SHORT LIST :

A shortlist of three to six individual consultants will be established at the end the request of expressions of interest. The consultants on the shortlist will be judged on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume.
