Job Description
We are looking for experienced IT professionals in IT support area for our location in Timisoara, or remote work from Romania.
We, from Backup team, are offering high level support with high level specialists on high level scale environments on high level global brands.

Main responsibilities as follows:

For Backup Administrator
•   Configure backup for new clients;
•   Create, manage and change backup schedules;
•   Run ad-hoc backups;
•   Support OS/DB-staff on backup software installation when requested;
•   Support OS/DB-staff on restore when requested;
•   Capacity and Performance management – operational;
•   Define and maintain procedures and work instructions;
•   Plan, initiate and supervise execution of changes and the implementation and integration of new systems
•   Work planning, process coordination (tracking/tracing/crisis-mgt);
•   Backup infrastructure (storage appliances, tape library, VTL) upgrades: hardware, firmware or software;
•   Backup software upgrades to backup servers and data movers;
•   Prepare and support backup software upgrades to backup clients;
•   Monitor performance of backup environments and the systems that rely on them
•   Create, manage and change backup schedules
•   Ensure tickets are processed in time, and SLA’s are fulfilled
•   Advanced Troubleshooting of issues
•   Create and use different operational reports
•   Long retention backups check. (yearly, monthly, quarter backups)
•   Suggest concerns and strategies for improvement
•   Problem management RCA (root cause analysis)
•   Open cases to vendor for advanced troubleshooting

Job Requirements
Education: Technical university degree or a similar qualification; IT Certification is a plus; ITIL knowledge;
Mandatory need/desire professional experience:
For Backup Administrator:
   Minimum 4-5 years in various IT infrastructure;
   Basic Microsoft windows and Linux skills (installation, administration and configuration, networking configuration, disks configuration), Virtualization
   Networking knowledge (routing, VPN, TCP/IP)
   Active directory, DNS, DHCP knowledge
   Minimum 2-3 year hands on experience with at least one of the enterprise Backup solution(Veeam, HP Data Protector, Commvault)
   Hands on experience managing at least one of the backup appliances(HP StoreOnce, HP MSL, DataDomain)
   Working on medium to large IT Infrastructure Environments, and operationally managing it remotely
   Have a deep understanding of Data Protection principles, rules, and operational best practice
   Any certifications on Backup specific technologies would represent an advantage

Foreign Languages: Proficient in Business English and German language is a must.
