The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative Fellowship program supports young social entrepreneurs from the Americas develop and strengthen their enterprises, build technical and leadership skills, and build enduring partnerships with U.S. businesses and enterprises through a transformational exchange experience, alumni supports, and a robust network of peers and collaborators. The Project Director is the project leader and provides overall program vision while ensuring program activities are achieving stated objectives and goals, on-time, on budget and compliant with all grant requirements; and program staff have the resources and guidance to succeed.

Support the oversight and/or management of Practice projects. Responsibilities include managing the practice financial information, developing strategic initiatives, and managing practices human resources. The role may require a division of practices specific duties with Practice Director based on individual strengths and/or areas of expertise. The position may be asked to speak for and/or represent the practice. May be asked to assume responsibilities of Project Director to meet the needs of a program(s).

Your Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 10 + years of progressive job experience.
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience working on relevant donor-funded programming, with a minimum of four (4) years’ senior management experience preferred.
  • Experience working in LAC preferred.
  • Experience managing USG-funded programming preferred.
  • Experience supporting young leaders or social entrepreneurs a plus.
  • Skills may vary based on program, project, or practice needs.
  • Technical knowledge of and hands-on experience with exchange/fellowship programs
  • Experience managing USG-funded programming preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships with donor counterparts and project stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution abilities, and a demonstrated ability to hold staff accountable for quality outputs and results.
  • Fluent English language skills; Spanish language skills preferred.
  • You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
