APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

  • A first degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Business Management, Economics, Risk Management or related field.
  • At least three (3) years working experience in the field of Banking, Finance, Accounting and or Business Management.

THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE CONSIDERED ASSETS:

  • AML accreditation such as ACAMS, FIBA.
  • Training on the Financial Action Task Force Recommendations and Immediate Outcomes.

APPLICANTS SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

  • A high level of interest, motivation, initiative and maturity;
  • Ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships;
  • Strong analytical skills and research techniques;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently;
  • Working knowledge of computerized business applications such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

DUTIES

The successful candidate will be directly responsible to the Director, Financial Sector Supervision Department, for the proper performance of his/her duties, which will include:

  1. Continuously assess the Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing/Proliferation Financing risk profile of Licensed Financial Institutions (LFI’s).
  2. Conduct onsite examinations in line with the Risk Based AML/CFT/CPF Supervision Framework.
  3. Monitor compliance of LFI’s with ECCB issued directives.
  4. Participate in Mutual Evaluation activities for respective ECCU member countries.
  5. Participate and contribute the National Risk Assessment for the banking sector for the respective ECCU member countries.
  6. Provide effective and efficient regulatory services and policy advice to LFI’s.
  7. Provide Secretariat support to internal and external committees and Bank sponsored conferences.

SALARY

This position is offered at the Grade 7 Level.
