To implement the works detailed above UNDP Armenia is looking to hire a User Researcher that will systematically study and analyse target users of VET data analytics and Career tracking tools that will help inform the design and development processes of the two products.Working respectively under the overall guidance of Innovation and SDG Finance Portfolio Manager and direct supervision of the SDG Innovation Lab Lead, the incumbent will be responsible for performing the following functions:
1. Work with the Project team to develop a methodology for prioritizing stakeholder and user needs regarding VET data analytics and Career tracking tools and visualize them with innovative tools for further communication;
2. Support knowledge management of the Project through continuously updating insights from meetings and validation sessions with key stakeholders, using tools such as Figma, Whimsical, tailored to the requirements of the development and management team until the end of the product development;
3. Incorporate the results of the research on Career Tracking practices worldwide in the development of a comprehensive plan and relevant tools to conduct, with several iterations, qualitative research, including competitive research, empathy mapping, and journey mapping with VET institutions, MoESCS, MoLSA and other relevant stakeholders and beneficiaries to identify their needs and requirements, regarding alumni reporting and career tracking digitalization;
4. Promote user research insights to diverse audiences including but not limited to Career Centers in VET institutions, NCET, MoESCS, MoLSA, Statistics Committee, State Revenue Committee, in a way that fits into the logic, scope, and objectives of the project taking into consideration the feasibility, viability and sustainability of any proposed solution related to edu2work.am VET analytics and Career Tracking digital tool;
5. Synthesize all available relevant quantitative data with qualitative data generated within and outside the Project activities, to help derive specific design and product decisions regarding Career Tracking digital tool and Edu2work VET analytics tool;
6. Refine the Career Tracking and edu2work VET data analytics tools based on the findings from the previous user research;
7. Research on international best practices of uses of big data in VET education, provide data analytical solutions and features for both Career Tracking and Edu2work VET data analytics tools;
8. Contribute to organizing and facilitating continuous co-designing sessions with major and secondary stakeholders including representatives of the Ministries;
9. Support in organizing and conducting rounds of usability testing to test and identify new features of the developed Career Tracking digital tool and Edu2work VET analytics;
10. Provide support to develop user manual for each tool and potential capacity building plans for primary users based on the peculiarity of the digital tools and their features, and the results from data mapping and business process analysis;
11. Collaborate with project team to define and continuously revise intent, development, testing, and refinement of prototypes of the two digital tools to be developed.
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Secondary education is required or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Data Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Development Studies, Public Health, life/natural Sciences or other disciplines.
Experience:
- Five years with secondary education or two years with a Bachelor’s degree of experience in product design, research, analysis, prototyping, testing, facilitation relevant to innovation, start-ups, business processes, user experience, private and/or public sector.
Required skills:
Experience in the usage of creative design tools.
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies section:
- Ability to use innovative tools such as Figma, Whimsical or any other tool;
- Ability to conduct usability testing for digital products;
- Ability to conduct research for innovative projects;
- Ability to analyze qualitative data for User Research.
Required Language(s):
Fluency in English and Armenian
