THE IRC IN YEMEN
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and regain control of their future. The IRC began its programs in Yemen in October 2012 and currently operates in the south and north of the country through direct programming and local partnerships in Health, Nutrition, WASH, Economic Recovery and Development, Education, Child Protection, and Women’s Protection & Empowerment. The country program operates from main offices in Aden and Sana’a and field offices in Abyan, Al Dhale’e, and Hodeidah governorates.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Partnership Coordinator will support the Yemen country program in the strategic management and oversight of partnerships across the country. The position is responsible for facilitating the delivery of high-quality partnerships with national NGOs and certain government entities, and will ensure compliance with IRC and donor requirements, quality services and outcomes for the communities we serve, and consistency with the IRC’s Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System (PEERS). Working in close collaboration with the programs, grants, and operations departments, the Partnership Coordinator will oversee all steps in the partnership management lifecycle and will ensure that partnerships are appropriately integrated into overall project cycle management. This position will also play a pivotal role with the Emergency Preparedness and Response Mechanism (EPRM), under which most responses are implemented with partners.
This position reports to the Deputy Director for Programs and is based in Aden with regular travel to program sites across Yemen.
