The Regional Program Manager, Asia (RPM) will be responsible for providing business development, grants management, communications and operational support to country offices in Asia as well as to the regional unit. This role reports to the Regional Program Officer and will provide a range of administrative and programmatic HQ support services to Asia country programs. The PM will work with the country office grants, partnerships and finance staff, as well as the regional team, as necessary, to ensure timely and accurate grant reporting and maintain grant records. The Program Manager will also assist with new proposals as needed. The position entails limited travel to country offices.
Major Responsibilities:
Grants Management
- Review, edit, and provide substantive feedback on grant reports prior to donor submission and submit reports in a timely manner; proactively engaging with country teams to assure the inputs and content of the donor reporting is of the highest quality
- Support and proactively engage regional grants team in strengthening the capacity and systems of region and country teams to support high quality and timely satisfaction of key donor requirements, reporting, compliance and partnership matters
- Review sub-award proposal packages, sub-award agreements and modifications, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and IRC’s Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System (PEERS)
- Assist Regional Program Officer in the preparation and review of grant proposals/modifications and submissions, including collaborating with various departments to acquire signed approvals and helping to complete proposal packages
- Assist in maintaining the region’s grant filing system and grant tracker, a detailed list of the region’s active grants by country
- Supporting country onboarding and roll-out of IRC’s Project Cycle Meeting (PCM) guidance
Internal and External Communications
- Respond to day-to-day requests for information, draft content for internal or external use
- Provide editing and writing support for programmatic SitReps, country updates, factsheets, etc
Administrative Support
- Coordinate and participate in monthly calls with country teams
- Acquire all documentation for and seek signature of CFO for agreements and proposals; and documentation and signatures for Power of Attorney requests
Other
- Research and be informed about programmatic issues, security and political developments
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Travel to Asia country offices to provide ad hoc support or to gap fill as needed
Profil
You have excellent interpersonal and communicative skills; the ability to effectively collaborate closely with people within and across departments in a multi-cultural environment. You are both a strong teammate and an independent performer in a fast-paced environment. You have strong administrative skills, and the solid ability to prioritize projects with attention to detail.
- Minimum 2 years related non-profit, grants and/or administrative work experience; some field experience a plus, regional experience in particular
- Experience working in the Asia region is desirable, particularly in one of the countries where IRC is currently operating: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, or Thailand
- Shown excellent writing and editing skills: the ability to draft and edit documents for internal and external audiences
- Understanding of United States Government donors and their requirements preferred;
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Education, Public Health, International Affairs, Social Work, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
Working Environment:
Standard office work environment; must be willing to travel to the region. This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace.
