Job Description

Methods, tools and procedures:

• Take the necessary actions to ensure compliance with legal, contractual and group rules, including implementations of new regulations
• Provide advice on accounting applications; prepare tool specifications and Participate in tool and procedures improvement
• Ensure good understanding of accounting requirements by other department managers.
• Coordinate and check entry operations of accounts
• Implement the expertise development and sharing processes
• Contribute to the development of an accounting and financial culture within the Group

Execution:

• Ensure timing and accuracy of tax declarations, payments and recoveries when applicable
• Monitor cash calls and expense report, Ensure timely payment of cash calls
• Ensure reconciliation of accounting with budget/reporting on a quarterly basis
• Analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes
• Review and validate Financial Statements of all sorts (CAP, statutory, etc.)
• Ensure timely invoicing of customers, notably oil sales and secondees back charge.
• Perform and monitor Treasury funds.

Context and environment

• Provides technical support and advice to Management in the implementation of financial and treasury requirements
• Communicates with the external auditors and facilitates their work by coordinating with relevant departments of the Company.
• Regular contacts with Group representatives for Treasury, Reporting and compliance

Candidate profile

• Diploma in Finance or Higher degree with minimum 7 years’ experience in the field of accounting, auditing, treasury and VAT
• An understanding of TOTAL specific accounting and consolidation norms
• ERP – SAP knowledge/experience
• Good command of English language. Conversant with quasi-legal correspondence. Working knowledge of French Language.
