Where you come in:
In this full time, permanent position based in our Kununurra office, you’ll build up a team to accomplish ambitious goals for our children, youth and families. Your areas of responsibility will include our Communities for Children and Youth Services, and you’ll report to the Regional Manager.
You will make an impact by:
- Leading and developing a dedicated, values driven team
- Supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of our programs
- Building relationships with the local community and confidence in our programs
- Providing practical support, mentoring and advocacy for young people and their families with complex needs.

You’re a highly flexible people leader who is calm under pressure and driven by the impact that quality programming can have for children, families and youth, particularly in a regional and remote community setting. You’ve got plenty of energy and a can-do attitude, which will help you make long-lasting relationships with your team, the children and young people we exist for and their families. Most importantly, you have a strong sense of empathy and an infectious enthusiasm for your job.
This role requires:
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to nurture a cohesive team;
- Ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate activities;
- Experience in case management and working with young people;
- Ability to manage competing priorities and complex scenarios;
- Current valid driver’s licence;
- Relevant degree qualifications in youth work, social work, social science, education, psychology (highly desirable).
