Academy Trainer – Guest Services and Airside

The Role:
As a Guest Services and Airside Academy Trainer you will deliver high-quality learning solutions in induction and recurrent training for front-line Guest Services and Airside team members across the Virgin Australia Operations Group. Further to Guest Services Training, this role will support the Academy Design team to develop quality and compliant Guest Services training design materials as a secondary portfolio. Both positions are based at Brisbane Airport and you will work closely with the Leader, Training Delivery and Academy Design team.
As an Academy Trainer, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering classroom and practical training for Guest Services – Induction, Recurrent and Up-skilling training ;
- Maintain operational knowledge of the Guest Services and Airside role, airline regulations, and skills ;
- Deliver training to Virgin Australia team members, and third-party Trainers across the Virgin Australia network ;
- Maintain records compliance For the Guest Services role, contribute to the design of new training material and rejuvenation of the existing training curriculum.
What you need to be successful:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or ideally in Cert IV in Training & Assessment ;
- Demonstrated experience Airline Ground Operations, specifically Guest Services and Airside ;
- Previous experience in training – classroom, practical, on the job ;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to engage and deliver content ;
- Ability to translate standards and procedures into courseware design to complement systems and processes ;
- Ability to collaborate and build long-term stakeholder relationships.
