The Marketing Manager – SME is a senior role within our Marketing and Sales teams that will be responsible for managing and executing SME customer lifecycle and engagement marketing activities to drive customer growth directly and indirectly via Travel Management Companies (TMC’s), increase engagement of existing customers and promote cross partner earn.
Location: Sydney / Brisbane
Key objectives of this role include:
- Develop then execute an insights-led customer acquisition strategy, focused on improving customer awareness of Virgin Australia product and service offering ;
- Drive customer engagement via appropriate segmentation, offers and messaging to ensure content is highly relevant and drives behaviour changes ;
- Leverage data and insights gained from campaign activities to improve engagement through direct marketing channels and digital customer experiences ;
- Support B2B portal and associated asset production to drive customer consideration and conversion ;
- Tight campaign delivery and timely communication with internal (e.g., Sales, Loyalty) and external (e.g., agencies) to prioritise, develop and execute campaigns ;
- Lead the coordination and prioritisation of campaigns within the Commercial team ;
- Engage external agencies, the Velocity team and their partners to develop and execute specific campaigns ;
- Develop and execution of all campaign opportunities to drive best practice and delivery to business plan objectives ;
- Build lead generation programs to source new business and customer lifestyle enagagement ;
- Measure the impact of work by reporting and communicating results.
What we are looking for:
As an experienced Marketing Manager, working in a B2B environment, you will be an expert in building and delivering strategic Marketing plans to support growth opportunities. Your roles will have included the following:
- 5+ years in B2B and/or trade marketing experience ;
- Extensive experience and proven results in digital marketing campaign development ;
- Experience in paid media planning, buying and performance optimisation ;
- Successful career marketing leading consumer/corporate brands across service and FMCG industries; travel and/or airline industry experience desirable ;
- A self-starter prepared to make decisions, engaging stakeholders across the business ;
- Comfortable operating with mid to high level autonomy, structuring work effectively and coping with conflicting and changing demands ;
- Extensive experience in media performance reporting ;
- Testing creative outcomes, optimising marketing channels, audience segmentation for targeted communications and evaluating and reporting on campaign activity to improve efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns will be essential in this role.
