Where you come in :

In this full time, maximum term role (through to end of December 2024), you’ll lead a local team to deliver our Early Childhood Education programs across Doomadgee.  This will include our School Transition, Pay2Learn, Holiday and afterschool programs, working in the 0–8-year-old space. Reporting to our Mornington Island Team Leader, you’ll ideally be based in Doomadgee though a FIFO arrangement will be considered for this role.

You will make an impact by:

  • Driving quality programming at the Doomadgee Children and Family Centre;
  • Supporting the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs, risk management and child protection;
  • Coach, train and develop colleagues to increase skill and competency to enable high quality service delivery;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the local community and key stakeholders.

This role requires:

  • Experience working with teams supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds;
  • Thorough knowledge of child protection processes and commitment to upholding them;
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating reporting and collecting outcome data;
  • Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood or another relevant field, or significant relevant experience.
