Where you come in :
In this full time, maximum term role (through to end of December 2024), you’ll lead a local team to deliver our Early Childhood Education programs across Doomadgee. This will include our School Transition, Pay2Learn, Holiday and afterschool programs, working in the 0–8-year-old space. Reporting to our Mornington Island Team Leader, you’ll ideally be based in Doomadgee though a FIFO arrangement will be considered for this role.
You will make an impact by:
- Driving quality programming at the Doomadgee Children and Family Centre;
- Supporting the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs, risk management and child protection;
- Coach, train and develop colleagues to increase skill and competency to enable high quality service delivery;
- Building and maintaining relationships with the local community and key stakeholders.

This role requires:
- Experience working with teams supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds;
- Thorough knowledge of child protection processes and commitment to upholding them;
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating reporting and collecting outcome data;
- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood or another relevant field, or significant relevant experience.
