Main Purpose
The intern will provide support to the outreach activities of the TC communication team with a focus on the preparation of web articles, as well as logistical support for TC activities related to the General Conference and other events, including events, exhibitions and seminars.
Functions / Key Results Expected
The intern will assist staff in the TC communication team of the Technical Cooperation Programme through:
- Support research and drafting of web articles on TC related activities
Support the TC communication team in delivering services to TC Divisions, including photography assignments.
- Prepare photo essays and e-postcards for social media, support mini outreach campaigns on social media, etc.
- Assist in organizing TC exhibitions and side events, including digital events, to support increased outreach and visibility of the TC programme to external partners.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in public information, communication, journalism, English or related fields.
- Excellent writer, conversant with social media, some practical experience in photography, document layout and design (experience with InDesign or Photoshop an advantage), and event support.
Applicant Eligibility
- Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years of age and have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree.
- Candidates may apply up to one year after the completion of a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree.
- Candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA’s internship programme.
- Good written and spoken English essential; fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset.
- Candidates must attach two signed letters of recommendation to their application.
