Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute responsibility for oversight of program activities, management and capacity-building of key staff, while monitoring technical soundness and reporting.
  • Support the Chief of Party in ensuring achievement of strategic program objectives and intermediate results in collaboration with consortium partners
  • Supervise and manage a pool of technical experts to ensure that the TA provided is of quality and provided in due time during the planning, implementation and monitoring phases
  • Ensure that guidance and learning for Women and Girls empowerment program related to CARE’s approach is applied for the implementation and design of operational strategies
  • Ensure that project leverages all opportunities to contribute to CARE’s broader program goals
  • Create an enabling working environment that encourages open and honest communication, between all levels of personnel, based on mutual respect within the spirit of CARE’s core values.
  • Ensure that the project deliveries are achieved on time
  • Ensure positive youth development approaches are embedded in all activities
  • Assist the COP in monitoring, evaluation and reporting functions.
  • Contribute to donor reporting, as required.

Required Skills:

  • 8-10 years of senior management experience with donor-funded projects focused on economic and/or youth empowerment.
  • Master’s in social science/Economics/Business Administration.
  • Proven leadership skills building and managing cooperative, high-level relationships and motivating diverse teams.
  • Extensive experience and/or technical knowledge in designing, managing development projects and activities, particularly related to livestock sector development in rural Bangladesh.
  • Demonstrated experience adapting project implementation and activities to achieve objectives and targets as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across projects, be flexible, and creative and successfully lead an intercultural team in development and post-conflict contexts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, instilling trust and confidence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of USAID rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Government Policy Priorities on Women and Youth Development
  • Experience of managing consortium partners is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should have good understanding of MS Office applications.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
