Duties and responsibilities
The position holder will Organize and direct the functioning of allocated wards and training of employees and fellows for respective wards with the objective of providing effective support to clinical activities of the ward within the hospital guidelines and organizational values and guidelines. Charge Nurse will report to Senior Medical Officer. The specific areas of responsibilities are detailed below:
Clinical Management: Allocate work to nurses on a daily basis; Conduct rounds on a regular basis to monitor the administration of drugs/food for compliance to SOPs; Track drug schedule to check for timely drug administration; Check patient condition in case of critical issues;
Clinical Counseling: Coordinate necessary logistics for sessions; Track the number of patients counseled in order to provide effective counseling to patients.
Capacity Building: Collaborate with the Senior Medical Officer, The Respiratory Disease Hospital (RDH) in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar and the Senior Programme Coordinator for delivery of training as per schedule;
Infection Control: Review existing manuals and SOPs of nursing standards as a member of the Infection Control Committee
Patient Satisfaction: Seek patient feedback on the quality of care, responsiveness, helpfulness of staff etc.
People Management: Interview candidates and make hiring recommendations, if required; Promote a spirit of collegiality and gender diversity amongst team members and in the organization;

Location: Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar
Contract Type and Duration:
- CSA basis for 5 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.
