Position Description:
The Field Research Officer will report to the Research investigator and will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing research with the objective of conducting high-quality research within the guidelines of the research protocol and organizational values. S/he will be involved in –

  • Implement the field activities through appropriate planning and execution like Train field staff;
  • Monitor and ensure quality data/sample collection, Resolve field related issues etc. as per protocol;
  • Supervise data and sample collection activities of field staff, arrange proper sample transportation and organize training, meeting and workshop when necessary;
  • Mentor and train staff on-the-job in the field; Provide feedback to supervisor on team members’ performance in order to have a strong and motivated team, conduct extensive field visit, if needed;
  • Review the Case Report Forms (CRF) collected from the field and take initiative to collect the missing information and supportive documents, visit the households of study participants if required;
  • Raise requisition to procure required materials and logistics, maintain petty cash and coordinate with the MIVU admin team;
  • Write an initial report, based on own analysis, experience and understanding of the work and also support in preparing the final report for submission to scientist after discussing with all team members;
  • Maintain smooth collaboration with IEDCR, Medical Colleges and Hospitals, Govt. Institutes, District and Sub-District level health facilities.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Masters in any discipline with good academic records;
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a relevant field;
  • Experience in flawless liaison & collaboration with IEDCR, Medical Colleges and Hospitals, Govt. Institutes, District and Sub-District level health facilities will be given preference.
