Job description
The Program and Partnership Officer contributes to the implementation of the AgriCord programs. S/he will have a pivotal function and be at the crossroads of all processes in our small but dynamic team.
Her/his most important tasks are:
Project cycle management at donor and agri-agency level
Towards donors:
- Supports the monitoring of results of the programs and produces progress reports
- Supports capitalization activities
- Ensures visibility for the programs and its results
- Provides support for the preparation of donor contracts, including gathering and consolidating information from the agri-agencies
Towards agri-agencies
- Supports communication about donor requirements to all implementing organisations, including designing and carrying out induction workshops and drafting program manuals
- Supports agri-agencies with reporting, including coordination of the data collection and consolidation
- Collaborates in a variety of processes to improve compliance with the donor-specific requirements in close cooperation with all program & financial team members.
At AgriCord network level
- Supports maintaining contacts and cooperation with all relevant stakeholders (including keeping databases up to date)
- Supports collaborative use of internal tools (e.g. SharePoint, Canva, etc.)
- Collaborates with the preparation and follow-up of meetings of AgriCord alliance committees, commissions, overall governance and other advisory bodies as well as alliance-level monitoring and evaluations.
Internal and external communication
- Creates content for AgriCord website and social media (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) and drafts newsletters
- Supports the organization of visibility activities
- Collaborates and engages with the team in the development of publications and other communication materials.
Experiences
- Minimum Bachelors’ degree.
- Some experience in project/program management.
- Strong organisational skills and experience.
- Proven capacity to establish collaborative working relationships with a variety of partners & stakeholders.
- Good communication skills and diplomacy.
- Ability to work in an international team.
- Independent, flexible worker with stress tolerance.
- Experience with data systems and collaborative tools such as Sharepoint.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and oral. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial program management is a plus.
- Familiarity with the organised farmers’ world in developing countries, as well as knowledge of inclusiveness and/or rural development and/or environmental issues related to agriculture are considered a plus.
