About the job
Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will be responsible for all lifecycle aspects of Network based Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems and Full Packet-Capture Systems deployed within NATO networks in order to protect key NATO information while allowing NATO staff to work securely and process their information.
About you
We are looking for multiple talented and knowledgeable Cyber Security professionals with ideally a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience. A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
- Experience of cyber security activities and support in large, complex enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge and experience in Network-based Intrusion Prevention System (NIPS) technologies, including detection techniques such as signature-based detection, statistical anomaly-based detection etc)
- Strong network knowledge and ability to create documentation including diagrams and processes
- Strong knowledge in the administration and concepts of full packet capture;
- Practical experience in analysing packet captures and experience in operational troubleshooting based on the packet captures
- Good knowledge of tools to capture and analyse network traffic
- Experience in working with the network taps and aggregators
- Experience and sound knowledge of Computer and Networks Security principles and procedures;
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, LAN/WAN networking including protocol network architecture, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications;
- Proven capability of converting evolving operational requirements into Information Systems requirements;
- Good Communication skills, both verbal and written;
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
