Action Mondiale contre la Faim recrute un(e) Responsable de la conformité basé au Burkina Faso.
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. Employment location will be Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Depending on the security situation, travel to project locations in the country could be required.
Welthungerhilfe’s (WHH) Country Office in Burkina Faso is working alongside the Burkinabè government to improve food and nutritional security and livelihoods of people affected by poverty and hunger, conflict and natural disasters. As Compliance Manager, you will have overall responsibility across five mandates in the country: General Compliance Management, Data Protection, Advisory and Capacity Building, Assurance and Complaints Management. You will ensure compliance with the required processes and policies throughout WHH and WHH’s implementing partners operations in Burkina Faso, and recommend improvements.
Your responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Country Compliance Management Team, reporting on and recording compliance developments;
- Implement WHH data protection policies in the country program and ensure required data protection agreements are in place;
- Prepare and review privacy-related project risk assessments;
- Develop and continually follow up on compliance review plans;
- Carry out compliance checks and controls related to the code of conduct;
- Initiate or support in conducting investigations;
- Conduct training for WHH and partner staff and track in-country training related to WHH code of conduct policies;
- Ensure operation of the complaints response mechanisms in line with WHH standards;
- Establish and maintain a system for managing sensitive complaints;
- Conduct training for staff, partners and project participants on WHH’s complaints response mechanisms;
- Lead the Compliance department.
Your profile
- A university or college degree in a relevant field such as law, management, administration or finance
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably in a non-profit organization
- Experience and knowledge of corporate compliance, internal audit and risk management activities
- International work experience is a strong asset
- Analytical mindset to contribute to problem solving and establishing, maintaining and improving processes
- Competent in intercultural communication, strong interpersonal skills
- Readiness to receive necessary vaccinations for working in Welthungerhilfe’s programme countries
- Excellent spoken and written French and English
