Your responsibilities
Under the supervison of the Head of Finance, you will manage the following tasks:
- Overall financial coordination and management of the partners projects finance in accordance with internal and external regulations;
- Develop methodological tools for the financial planning and reporting according to donor regulations;
- Coordinate with Welthungerhilfe’s donor unit on grants management, project progress, monitoring and evaluation;
- Act as focal point for communications with HQ grants administration and compliance functions;
- Manage all reporting deadlines, develop calendars for report development and coordinate report compilation and review;
- Review agreements and provide recommendations and concerns to the senior management;
- Support the digitalization process for partnerships;
- Support the development of a financial plan for the implementation of activities planned in coordination with the project’s implementing partners and with Welthungerhilfe’s Heads of project;
- Provide technical advice and trainings to the partners and local Welthungerhilfe financial staff and propose sustainable solutions to problems related to the grants and project management;
- Review and advise on all partner agreements (procurement plans, budget, spending and workplan);
- Ensure that partnership and sub-grant related administrative processes and procedures are standardized and consistently implemented throughout the program, including pre-award compliance checks, agreements, disbursements, reporting and partner capacity-building;
- Organize and facilitate monthly partnership meetings with senior program staff to ensure strong financial management of grants; support and guide program staff in partner amendments, realignments and general challenges in project implementation, as necessary;
- Assist the Head of Finance in financial matters if necessary.
Your profile
- A university or polytechnic degree in a relevant field e.g. finance and accounting;
- 5 years of professional experience working in the global south;
- 5 years of professional experience in the administration of co-financed projects for international (aid) organizations;
- 5 years of professional experience in partnership related administrative processes and procedures, including partner capacity-building;
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills, including ability to work under pressure;
- A high level of mental and physical resilience and readiness to travel to areas with volatile local conditions;
- Readiness to receive necessary vaccinations for traveling to Welthungerhilfe’s programme countries;
- An excellent knowledge of French and English (spoken and written), German is an asset.
